Dave is a Wyoming native with over twenty years of experience working on federal, state, and local criminal cases with a 100% conviction rate.

He is certified in the following mobile/computer forensics software programs:

Dave has a unique advantage, as he not only brings knowledge and experience in digital forensics, but he has over two decades of direct law enforcement experience, with eight years in investigations working side by side with some of the best attorneys in the state.

During Dave's distinguished career in law enforcement, he developed, lead and managed all aspects of the computer forensics program for the Natrona County Sheriff's Office. He quickly earned a reputation as an expert in mobile and computer data extraction and analysis and became heavily relied upon in court as an expert when it came to cases that involved electronically stored information (ESI).

Dave earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wyoming in 1999, and his Master's Degree in Public Administration from Columbia Southern University in 2018. After retiring from law enforcement in 2018, he was approached by several attorneys as to whether he would consider continuing in digital forensics, giving way to the birth of Key Forensics, which he started with his wife, Lisa, in 2020.
